Surplices
The Surplice is a loose white vestment varying from hip-length to calf-length, worn over a Cassock by clergy, acolytes, and choristers of the Christian church. Typically made of linen, cotton or lightweight wool, the sleeves are full and can have lace or other decoration. The neck line is either square or round.
